Your Visit
to Joy Vision Acupuncture
After scheduling your appointment, we will send you a link to the onpatient portal. This is where you can fill out your intake and sign consent forms. If you do not fill out forms online please arrive 15 minutes early for your appointment to fill out forms at the clinic. If you would like us to check your insurance coverage it’s best to give us your insurance information before coming in for your first appointment.
Upon arrival we will greet you and check you in. This is a good time to use the restroom if needed. If you are receiving Acunova we will conduct a quick eye chart exam before your first treatment. You will then go to your treatment room where there will be a recliner or massage table for you to get comfortable and remove your shoes. There is an additional chair in each treatment room for anyone accompaning you.
Erica will then come in to greet you, conduct a consultation and answer any questions. She will then proceed by placing needles in the points. You will then rest with the needles in for 20-40 minutes. Some treatments will have a change to some points part way through the treatment. Most people take a nap or go into a deep state of relaxation. Erica will then remove the needles and talk about the plan going forward. You will then checkout and secure your times for future sessions depending on your treatmet plan.
If receiving Acunova, there is a 1 hour break. You may relax in your room or the lounge area. We have wifi if you’d like to get some work done during the break or you may choose a walk on the beach. If you are receiving Acunova, then you’ll proceed for the second 30 minute session. For Acunova, plan to be at the clinic for 2 hours per treatment day. For traditional acupuncture, plan to be at the clinic for 1 hour.
For best results with the initial Acunova Protocol, plan on coming in daily M-F for 2 consecutive weeks.

Take A1A to the corner of Micklers Road. We are in the shopping center on the NW corner. We are in the 2 story office building toward the back of the complex. Enter through the center doors for the elevator or take the exterior central stairs up to the 2nd floor. We are in suite 201A. There is a Joy Vision Acupuncture sign on the door.
FROM I-95:
1. Take 202 East / Jax Beaches. You’ll cross over the bridge. Take A1A South exit toward Ponte Vedra, merge onto A1A. go 7 miles south and turn right into the Micklers Landing shopping center. Turn right as you enter the center. We are in the 2 story office building. Enter through the center doors for the elevator or take the stairs up to the 2nd floor.
2. Take 210 East / Valley Ridge Blvd to Nocatee Pkwy East to Ponte Vedra Beach. Merge onto Nocatee Pkwy E. You’ll cross over the bridge to the beaches. At traffic circle take the 2nd exit onto Mickler Rd. 1 mile ahead turn left into the Mickler Landing shopping center. It’s just before the light at Mickler and A1A. head straight back to the 2 story office building. Enter through the center doors for the elevator or take the stairs up to the 2nd floor.
FROM SAINT AUGUSTINE:
1. Take A1A N/ A1A Scenic and Historic Coastal Byway for 17 miles. At the first light, Mickler Rd. turn left and an immediate right into the Mickler Landing shopping center. Head straight back to the 2 story office building.
2. Take US-1 for 15 miles. Take the Nocatee Pkwy exit. Cross over the bridge to Ponte Vedra Beach. At the traffic circle, take the 2nd exit onto Mickler Rd. 1 mile ahead turn left into the Mickler Landing shopping center. It’s just before the light at Mickler and A1A. head straight back to the 2 story office building. Enter through the center doors for the elevator or take the stairs up to the 2nd floor.
