Schedule Your Acupuncture Visit

After scheduling your appointment, Joy Vision Acupuncture will send you a link to the inpatient portal. This is where you can fill out your intake and sign consent forms. If you do not fill out forms online, please arrive 15 minutes early for your appointment to fill out forms at the clinic. If you have insurance coverage we can provide you with a superbill that has all the codes on it for you to submit to your insurance company for them to reimburse you.

Upon arrival, we will greet you and check you in. This is an excellent time to use the restroom if needed. If you receive Acunova, we will conduct a quick eye chart exam before your first treatment. You will then go to your treatment room, where there will be a recliner or massage table to get comfortable and remove your shoes. There is an additional chair in each treatment room for anyone accompanying you.

Erica will then greet you, conduct a consultation, and answer any questions. She will then proceed by placing needles in the points. You will then rest with the needles for 20-40 minutes. Some treatments will change at some points partway through the treatment. Most people take a nap or go into a deep state of relaxation. Erica will then remove the needles and talk about a treatment plan. You will check out and secure your time for future sessions.

If you are receiving Acunova, there is a one-hour break between the 2 treatments. You may relax in your room, the lounge area, or there are shops & restaurants in the plaza. We have Wi-Fi if you’d like to get some work done during the break. After the hour break you’ll proceed to the second Acunova session. For Acunova, plan to be at the clinic for two hours per treatment day if you are receiving needles or just over an hour for laser acupuncture. For traditional acupuncture, plan to be at the clinic for one hour.

For best results with the initial Acunova Protocol, plan on coming in daily M-F for two consecutive weeks. 

Directions

From Ponte Vedra Beach:

Joy Vision Acupuncture practices out of Local Wellness. It is in the Azalea Point plaza. Located next door to Starbucks, Fifi's, and Kamiya 86. We are just south of Panera and Chubby's.

From I-95:

1. Take 202 East / Jax Beaches. You’ll cross over the bridge. Take the A1A South exit toward Ponte Vedra and merge onto A1A. Go 5 miles south and turn right into the Azalea Point shopping center. Make an immediate left into the plaza and go towards the end. You'll see Local Wellness on your right. If you miss the turn into the plaza make the next right  by Starbucks and go around the back of the plaza and around to the front.

2. Take 210 East / Valley Ridge Blvd to Nocatee Pkwy East to Ponte Vedra Beach. Merge onto Nocatee Pkwy E.  You’ll cross the bridge to the beaches. At the traffic circle, take the 3rd exit going north on Palm Valley Rd. About 2 miles north make a right onto Valley Circle which brings you into the plaza just north of Local Wellness. Head to the most East and South end of the plaza.

From Saint Augustine:

1. Take A1A N/ A1A Scenic and Historic Coastal Byway for 17 miles. After the first light at Mickler's Rd. continue north for 2 miles. Turn left into the first plaza you see on your left. Make an immediate left into the plaza and go towards the end. You'll see Local Wellness on your right.

2. Take US-1 for 15 miles. Take the Nocatee Pkwy exit. Cross over the bridge to Ponte Vedra Beach. At the traffic circle, take the 3rd exit going north on Palm Valley Rd. About 2 miles north make a right onto Valley Circle which brings you into the plaza just north of Local Wellness. Head to the most East and South end of the plaza. You'll see Local Wellness on your right.
