It is estimated 1 million patients worldwide are treated with Acunova each month

Acunova

Acunova is an acupuncture protocol, invented by Dr. John Boel, that is showing measurable results in treating macular degeneration and other eye diseases.

Needles are NEVER placed in the eyes.

Research shows 80% of patients experience vision improvement. The 20% that do not see improvement still showed NO DETERIORATION at the 6 month mark after treatment.

See impressive case studies below.

Acunova can be used for the following diagnoses:

  • Wet & Dry macular degeneration
  • Juvenile macular degeneration (Stargardt disease)
  • Age-related macular degeneration
  • Retinal degeneration
  • Glaucoma
  • Cataract
  • Far-sightedness (presbyopia)
  • Astigmatism
  • Diabetic Retinopathy
  • Optic atrophy
  • Retinopathy Pigmentosa / Retinitis Pigmentosa
  • Photoreceptor atrophy
  • Retinal pigment epithelium shift
  • Uveitis
  • Autoimmune related vision loss
  • Post-stroke vision loss

After Acunova treatments patients report the following improvements:

“Improvement in the ability to read and write”
“Improvement of vision and the ability to see at close range and distance”
“Improvement of the ability to perceive colors”
“Regained the ability to drive”
“Enlargement of the field of vision”
“Improvement of night vision”
“Improvement of general health and immune system”
“The dissolution of water bubbles”
“Relaxation of the muscles of the forehead and eyes”
“Improved sleep”
“Improved concentration”

Acunova is a newer system of acupuncture, particularly beneficial for the eyes. It was developed by Denmark acupuncturist, Dr. John Boel in the 1990’s. Boel has since been elected “Acupuncturist of the Century” by an International Congress of Complementary Medicine.

Acunova evolved from microacupuncture, developed in the 1980’s by Dr. Freddy Dalgren, which was based on research done by a Chinese scientist who showed acupuncture’s effectiveness is connected to the maturation and development of the human embryological system (ECIWO).

Acunova points are non-traditional acupuncture points on the hands and feet. Its points are situated near specific joints. From these points signals are sent to the brain to influence healing of the ocular system. When these points are stimulated they affect nerve fiber endings which stimulate brain centers that are responsible for vision. This helps wake up dormant neurons. Blood flow is also increased to the whole ocular system, including the optic nerve and retina. Increasing blood flow to the eyes and related nerve cells increases the transport and absorption of valuable nutrients, like oxygen. These cells often become inflamed and lack certain vitamins and minerals needed to restore appropriate function.

For over 2500 years, Chinese medical ophthalmology has remained an integral part of Traditional Chinese Medicine. From a western perspective, acupuncture increases blood flow to the brain and the eyes demonstrated using ocular Doppler imaging, ultrasound, and MRI.

Years of research by Dr. Boel, his trainees, and scientists yielded astounding results. Most research shows 80% of patients experience vision improvement. Most of these patients see an improvement of 15-60%, some even higher. The 20% that do not see improvement still showed NO DETERIORATION at the 6 month mark after treatment.

Many years of practice show that almost all eye diseases are successfully treatable. At Boel Acupuncture in Denmark, about 750 treatments are performed each week in six clinics. It is estimated that 250,000 patients are treated worldwide using Acunova each week.

The success rate statistics document the following results of treatments with the following eye diseases (these are the percentages of patients that experience improvement):

Dry and Wet Macular Degeneration (ARMD) – 83%
Blindness due to brain disorders – 82%
Glaucoma / Green Star – 81%
Retinitis Pigmentosa – 80%
Eye diseases caused by diabetes – 79%
Other eye diseases – on average 80%

Dr. Hans Peter Wutta studies using Dr. Boel’s Acunova protocol. His results showed 76% of patients improved with Acunova. Dr. Wutta’s studies with Boel’s protocol showed age did not impact the results. Also, that wet & dry macular degeneration had identical treatment results.

Here are some examples of case studies of patients diagnosed with “Incurable” eye diseases who used Acunova:

CASE STUDIES:

-Daniella, Austria (29): Completely blind due to excessive oxygen supply while in the incubator. After a week of Acunova treatment, she could see a little for the first time. After six weeks of treatment, she no longer needed a guide dog because she could walk alone. Today she works full time.

-Annika (12): Juvenile macular degeneration. 20% eyesight before acunova treatment. 100% eyesight after one year.

-Claus, Norway (13): tunnel vision (retinitis pigmentosa). Only 1% vision in the right eye, completely blind in the left eye. After one year of acunova treatment, he achieved 50% vision in both eyes. Claus is the first retinitis pigmentosa patient in the world whose eyes have been healed. He became the youngest judge in Norway.

-Thorgun (23): Completely blind for 10 years after a traffic accident.
About 80% vision after 9 weeks of acunova treatment.

While acupuncture in any form is not intended to be 100% curative for eye diseases, it supports the healing process. Clinical results show many patients have great improvement from vision loss using Acunova. For many others, the progression of an aggressive eye disorder has been slowed and managed.

When eye doctors say there’s nothing that can be done for a condition, don’t lose hope as Acunova can still be beneficial.  Clinical observations from Acunova practitioners around the world doing the same protocol continue to get highly positive outcomes. If you are experiencing vision loss from any degenerative eye conditions, then it’s time to try a new approach.

We are always looking to work with eye care specialists for further research. If you are interested in collaborating please contact us.

No negative side effects of the Acunova protocol have been reported.

Complimentary consultations are available.
